Clean agent
Chemical agent fire extinguishing systems are classified under current regulations as "clean agents". Clean agents interact as a result of a chemical reaction with the fire's free-radicals by absorbing heat, thus extinguishing the fire. These products do have some environmental impact. They are characterised by low level atmospheric lifetime (ALT), global warming potential (GWP) and ozone depleting potential (ODP) compared to their predecessors (Halon and NAF S3). The range of products includes both HFC125 and HFC227ea in cylinders of various capacity and size, and at low pressure (24 bar) and high pressure (42 bar).

Novec 1230®
Novec 1230® is classified under current regulations as FK-1-12 (ASHRAE nomenclature). At ambient temperature in the liquid phase it is a high molecular weight material with a heat of vaporization of 88.1 kJ/KGA and low vapour pressure. Developed as an alternative to HFC gases and as a long-term solution, it is a clean product which evaporates immediately and does not leave any residue in the environment. It is therefore a valid alternative to HFC systems and for limited spaces.
