How does cryogenic blasting work?
Cryogenic blasting (Dry Ice Blasting) propels small Dry Ice pellets at sonic or supersonic speed onto the surface to be treated. The combined mechanical and thermal effects are effective in multiple applications and industrial sectors, with low environmental impact.
- Mechanical effect: the impact of the pellets cools the layer to be removed
- Thermal effect: the dirt freezes and detaches from the surface
- Kinetic effect: the pellets sublimate instantly, leaving no residue
- Transport by compressed air (from 6 to 14 bar)
