HFCs are refrigerants that replaced CFCs and HCFCs, characterized by high efficiency and stability, but with an impact on the greenhouse effect due to their persistence in the atmosphere. They include both pure gases and blends and, although regulated, some may still be used under F-Gas regulations. HFOs represent an evolution with lower environmental impact, while maintaining high performance and no ozone impact.
They stand out for their low GWP and faster environmental degradation compared with HFCs. HFOs are also available as pure gases or blends, both inert and flammable, expanding application possibilities.

COOOL® R744
Natural refrigerant gases are the true green alternative to F-Gases, thanks to their very low environmental impact and excellent energy performance. Known as carbon dioxide, it is one of the most widely used natural refrigerants: with a GWP of 1, it is the benchmark for all other gases.
It combines very low environmental impact with excellent refrigeration efficiency, with no legal limits or need for recovery and disposal. Its high volumetric cooling capacity enables the use of small-capacity compressors with high efficiency at low and medium temperatures. Operating at high pressures, it requires specially designed systems.

F-Gas regulations and safety
F-Gas Regulation (EU) 573/2024 replaces the previous 517/2014 and sets the goal of eliminating emissions from F-gases by 2050. SIAD specialists can support the transition required by the regulation.
