Ethylene Oxide header
Ethylene Oxide, C2H4O, is a colourless, highly toxic, highly flammable, very unstable liquified gas with an ethereal odour above 500 ppm.
Pure ethylene oxide is used:
- to produce ethylene oxide-based sterilant gases
- as an intermediate in the manufacturing of other chemicals
- in calibration mixtures
- as a sterilant gas in various food, pesticide and medical consumable processes.
