Low temperature environmental testing

Low temperature or cryotesting uses liquid nitrogen or liquid carbon dioxide to test an assembled printed circuit board's ability to withstand low temperatures and wide fluctuations in temperature.
Low temperature testing is especially important for applications where electronic components must function reliably in extremely cold temperatures.
Cryotesting is also used as an accelerated means of testing the long-term reliability of assemblies by using the difference in coefficients of thermal expansion of various components.
