The best-ever edition of RemTech Expo 2016 draws to a close
The balance of this tenth edition of RemTech Expo confirms the central importance of Ferrara in the environmental segment, with the city appearing constantly at the top of the international agenda
RemTech is the most specialized Italian exhibition relating to the remediation of contaminated sites, environmental protection and territorial redevelopment. The exhibition is addressed to a qualified and diversified community composed of private companies, public institutions, universities and research centres, associations, professional operators, the world of industry including the oil industry, and the real estate sector.
The event is acclaimed for its highly accredited exhibitors, high-level technical-scientific conferences, and its training courses available for operatives, representatives of authorities, and decision-makers. Each year the programme concentrates on topics of the greatest current concern: regulatory evolution, characterization, risk analysis, remediation technologies, research, innovation, monitoring, environmental controls, industry, and sustainability. It also includes the Remediation general summit meeting, the Industry national conference on the environment and remediation, and the first edition of the RemTech Europe International Conference, organized in collaboration with the European Commission. All this is available together with in-depth technical presentations and multi-disciplinary debates – on the national and international level – concerning case studies and real-life experiences.
The jewel in the crown of the event is the presence of foreign delegations composed of buyers and key interlocutors keen to enter into business with exhibitor companies through exclusive one-to-one meetings; there's also the award of Masters Degree and PhD prizes and a series of Special Prizes.
The event was held in Ferrara from 21 to 23 September and SIAD was present with a stand and a talk entitled "Groundwater remediation at a pharmaceutical site by pure oxygen barrier with the Ground BiO2 system".
