SIAD takes part in EIGA seminar “Medical Gases – a deep breath”
EIGA (European Industrial Gases Association) has always focussed on the quality and efficacy of medical gas products and services to enhance patient safety, as well as the development of good practices and standards to protect our workers and users in the supply and handling of medical gases and homecare services.
EIGA also provides regulatory agencies and healthcare providers with advice on the safe manufacture, supply, handling and administration of medical gases. In recent years regulations and standards have developed into a complex landscape for EIGA members to navigate.
The Seminar Medical Gases – a deep breath, which will take place in Brussels, Belgium from Wednesday 30th to Thursday 31st January 2019, is intended to continue the sharing of good practices and initiatives. It will provide an overview of regulations and how they impact the production and supply of gases. The Seminar will look at what the future holds for patient safety and for medical gases in the healthcare industry.
Through the Seminar, EIGA intends to provide guidance and perspective on these aspects of medical gases safety and on how people should be communicating and managing these issues. We will also be presenting proven tools and techniques which managers and employees will be motivated to take back to their companies and implement with conviction.
The Seminar will be structured around plenary sessions on:
• Safety (patient, product, personnel) and the basics of medical gases;
• Medical gases;
• The future for medical gases;
• Medical devices;
• Hot topics and breaking news for medical gases.
Among the speakers GIORGIO BISSOLOTTI, SIAD Group scientific director, who will be the moderator of the meeting "The future of medical gases".
