The SIAD OICCE International Award is launched to promote research into technical gases in viniculture and oenology
The Bergamo-based SIAD Group (Società Italiana Acetilene e Derivati) and OICCE (Organizzazione Interprofessionale per la Comunicazione delle Conoscenze in Enologia – Canelli) have launched the first edition of the International Award dedicated to promoting research for the innovation of technical gases in viniculture and oenology.
Technical gases in viniculture and oenology are an important tool for achieving the highest quality of wine and new ways for their possible uses are constantly evolving. The Award, which will be held annually, is open to university researchers, technicians, students, companies, consortia and to those who present research projects that have as their object the innovative use of nitrogen, carbon dioxide, argon and oxygen within the entire supply chain of the viniculture/oenology sector.
The Award envisages the assignment of a contribution of six thousand euros and a SIAD Medal to a single candidate or to a group of candidates presenting an innovative research project at any stage of the development cycle and will be assigned by OICCE in collaboration with SIAD during an event organized in the first half of 2020.
To participate in the Award, which is addressed to the international community, a description of the project must be sent, up to two typewritten pages, in two copies: one in the original language and one in English. The projects will be assessed by a jury composed of seven members including Italian and international teachers and technicians.
Applications must be submitted to the Committee via email, at the address firstname.lastname@example.org by 29 February 2020. Each candidate will receive a reply confirming their participation in the selection, no later than 31 March 2020.
