Aerosol - SIAD Società Italiana Acetilene e Derivati
An aerosol by definition is a compound of liquid and solid particles, transported in suspension by a gas.
There are numerous types of aerosol systems but the most common is known as "condensed aerosol", comprised of a solid compound contained in metal casing (generator).
Upon being switched on, an exothermic reaction is produced which generates a gas jet containing very fine particles of condensed potassium salts in suspension. When this comes into contact with the flames, it creates a chemical reaction on the free-radicals which extinguishes the fire.
These systems are UL 2127 certified to guarantee their efficiency.
