Carbon dioxide systems
Carbon dioxide (CO2) systems are commonly used in industry to protect equipment, tanks, electronic machines, and in all areas classified as "unoccupied".
They can be designed using the total flooding principle or local application for specific risks.
Suppression is guaranteed by the double effect on the fire and the environment:
- a reduction in the concentration of oxygen;
- a considerable drop in temperature (cooling action).
The (CO2) systems are composed of one or more cylinders connected by a manifold and pipe network to discharge nozzles which emit the extinguishing agent in the appropriate concentration to provide protection.
