Refrigerant gases

SIAD offers various types of refrigerant gases, used as fluids for refrigeration cycles, for air conditioning and refrigeration systems. Cold, efficiency, respect for the environment and a wide range of products are the key concepts that characterize SIAD refrigerant gases.

SIAD’s refrigerant gas ensures the correct operation of systems in maximum safety, while also ensuring energy savings. SIAD has always been committed to safeguarding the environment, and in addition to traditional hydrofluorocarbons (HFC), also offers more sustainable solutions: new low-GWP blends, with hydrofluoroolefins (HFO), and natural refrigerants.

SIAD refrigerant gases are typically supplied in the following sizes:

  • 12.5 liter rental cylinders (equipped with gas phase valve)
  • 40 liter rental cylinders (equipped with gas and liquid phase valve)
  • 950 liter large cylinders (equipped with two valves).

For main products, “FreeCold” small formats are also available for sale by charge:

  • 12 liter FreeCold cylinders
  • FreeCold Dwarf cylinders with 1 liter capacity, in boxes of 6 pieces
  • 5 liter FreeCold cylinders for R1234yf.

FLUORINATED AND NATURAL REFRIGERANT GASES

SIAD offers a range of fluorinated refrigerant gases with HFC and HFO. The HFCs (hydro-fluoro-carbons) used today are chlorine-free gases with zero ozone depleting potential (ODP), but which nevertheless have a high global warming potential (GWP).

SIAD’s natural refrigerant gases, instead, are the true green alternative to F-Gases, not just for their high energy performance and availability, but especially for their very low impact on the environment.  For these reasons, there is now a return to natural refrigerant gases, such as:

IMPURE REFRIGERANT GASES

The use of Impure refrigerant gases in general may lead to:

  • changes in thermodynamic properties with possible effects on performance;
  • chemical-physical changes with possible influence on pressures and materials, and therefore on safety, up to possible problems related to toxicity in case of release into the environment.

All changes in the composition of refrigerant gases ultimately affect the performance, operation, life and safety of the system.
