SDS Safety Data Sheets

 

SDS are the main tool for informing employees (users) on the risks to health and safety that may result from the effects of chemical agents present in the workplace and therefore constitute one of the basic preventative tools.

The SDS of the chemical/ altered products or those in any way present in the work environment, are an input element for the assessment of risks concerning safety and workers' health (Document of Risk Assessment) and must be accessible to every employee, to whom they will be distributed when hired or upon change of duties or other changes to the hazards associated with the products; new processes/ new products, etc.

The SDS, including the information referred to above, must be transmitted from the supplier to the recipient of the substance/ mixture free of charge, in paper or electronic format and in Italian for substances/ mixtures placed on the national market, on the occasion of the first supply, including the update of new elements that justify it.

With reference to EU Regulation 453/2010 amending Regulation 1907/2006/EC (REACH Regulation) concerning the registration, evaluation, authorisation and restriction of chemicals.


SIAD is updating and revising all the safety data sheets.

If the safety data sheet provided on the site is not updated, contact us immediately.

The SDS must be made up of 16 sections. For some substances an attachment containing the exposure scenario must also be provided.
