Why carry out environmental monitoring
European and national legislation sets strict limits on emissions of pollutants into the atmosphere. Monitoring networks, fixed control stations and environmental laboratories need traceable calibration mixtures that are stable over time and able to guarantee analytical data that can be defended before control authorities.
SIAD prepares multicomponent mixtures dedicated to this purpose, down to concentrations in parts per billion.

LAT Perfecta mixtures
Perfecta is SIAD’s brand for traceable calibration mixtures. The mixtures used in environmental monitoring are prepared and certified by the SIAD Research Laboratory, with dual accreditation as LAT Centre no. 00223 (ISO/IEC 17025) and RMP Producer no. 00223 (ISO 17034).

Certifications
The mixtures are prepared and certified according to international standards, with traceability of certified values to national mass standards and correlation with standards from Primary Metrology Institutes.
SIAD solutions for environmental monitoring
SIAD’s offering covers the full range of environmental control applications: air quality monitoring networks, fixed emission stations, industrial stacks, thermoelectric power plants, waste disposal plants and vehicle exhaust gas control, with mixtures dedicated to each analytical context.
Available in different gas matrices, they contain SO₂, NOx, CO, CO₂, hydrocarbons in ppm/ppb, as well as multicomponent VOC mixtures in ppb, and are used by emissions control networks and laboratories for ambient air monitoring.
Dedicated to the monitoring of industrial stacks, waste disposal and thermoelectric power plants, they include components such as SO₂, NOx, CO, CO₂, NH₃, HCl, HF, VOC and other critical compounds at the concentrations required by sector-specific analytical protocols.
For quality control of biogas and biomethane, SIAD produces certified gas mixtures in a methane matrix, developed for calibration and performance verification of the instruments used in the analysis of these gases. The mixtures are prepared to high metrological standards and, where required, accompanied by certification of calorific value, a key parameter for determining the energy and economic value of the gas.
