Why oxy-combustion
Oxy-combustion is a technology that uses pure oxygen as the oxidizer instead of air inside the burner of the melting furnace. The result is a process with higher flame temperatures and greater thermal efficiency.
SIAD designs and manufactures regulation systems and oxy-methane and oxy-propane burners for rotary, crucible and reverberatory furnaces, sized according to the customer's specific plant and process.

Oxy-fuel burners
Tailor-made
SIAD designs and supplies complete oxy-combustion technologies: technical oxygen, dedicated burners and regulation systems. The solutions offered apply to melting furnaces for aluminium, cast iron, glass and precious metals, with solutions sized for each individual plant.
Together with the fuel, it is the process gas of oxy-combustion. By replacing air in the process, nitrogen is eliminated, thus increasing the flame temperature and improving the thermal efficiency of the process. It is used in rotary, crucible and reverberatory furnaces for metal melting, where it is correctly mixed and ignited with the fuel by the burners.
SIAD burners for melting furnaces are available in oxy-methane and oxy-propane configurations. The oxygen-fuel mixture generates a high flame temperature and more efficient heat transfer, with faster process times and reduced emissions.
SIAD's technical team designs water-cooled and non-water-cooled burners and flow regulation skids sized according to melting capacity and furnace geometry.
