Isobutylene, C4H8 is a colourless, flammable, liquified gas with a coal gas odour.
Pure Isobutylene is used:
- in polymerization processes
- as a chemical intermediate in the manufacturing of MTBE
- in the manufacturing of calibration mixtures.
