Aerospace alloys are among the most difficult materials to weld and machine. Titanium, aluminum, and nickel do not tolerate imperfections: oxidation, porosity, and delamination of layers compromise the structural integrity of the final component.
That is why choosing high-purity gas is crucial. SIAD supplies certified argon and nitrogen for every stage of the process, from welding to 3D printing, with dedicated technical support and reliable supplies.
1
In additive manufacturing processes, high-purity argon and nitrogen are used for reactive materials and special alloys.
2
Certified solutions for laser welding and cutting.
3
Local technical support and dedicated process consulting.

SIAD offers high-purity gases and certified gas mixtures for welding special alloys and for additive manufacturing processes used in the production of aerospace components. From gas selection to supply management, every aspect is supported by technical expertise and process certifications.
For welding titanium, aluminum, nickel, and other reactive metal alloys, Argon 5.0 is recommended as the standard solution, and the HELIPRO HE-30 and HE-50 mixtures are recommended as high-performance solutions: the former for thicknesses less than 5 mm, the latter for greater thicknesses. The use of argon is mandatory to prevent reactions with elements present in the atmosphere.
SIAD supplies high-purity argon and nitrogen for 3D printing processes using metal powders (Powder Bed Fusion, Laser Metal Deposition) and for powder atomization. These gases are used to inert the printing chamber, to transport the powders, and to protect the laser beam. For reactive materials such as titanium and Inconel, argon must be used instead of nitrogen to prevent oxidation and structural defects.
