Why laser welding
Laser welding technology has now replaced traditional technologies in many processes thanks to the greater precision and the superior mechanical properties of the joint that can be achieved. Based on the specific requirements of the process, SIAD offers gases and mixtures that, by interacting with the laser beam, provide the optimal energy input on the part to be welded
1
Reduced plasma density and increased weld penetration
2
Uniform weld bead, excellent appearance and mechanical properties
3
Increased productivity in automated processes

SIAD covers the entire range of requirements for laser welding, from high-performance HELIPRO mixtures to pure gases such as argon 5.0 and technical nitrogen. Each solution is designed according to the material, thickness, and plant configuration. Completing the offering is a service that guarantees continuity of supply in automated processes.
The argon-helium mixtures in the HELIPRO line are the high-performance solution for laser welding. Helium reduces the density of the ionized column generated by the beam, preventing the shielding effect and ensuring excellent weld penetration and higher welding speed. The solutions are suitable for carbon steels, stainless steels, and aluminum alloys.
Argon is a high-purity gas used as the standard reference in laser welding of carbon steels, martensitic stainless steels, and aluminum alloys. Its ability not to react with the material even at high temperatures ensures protection of the molten pool on materials sensitive to oxidation.
Flexigas is the service that guarantees continuous availability of high-quality gas, adaptable to the consumption of the production process. Mobile cryogenic containers deliver a greater quantity of gas within the same footprint as a cylinder bundle, with maintenance included and automatic reordering.
