Why plasma cutting
Plasma cutting is a thermal process for machining conductive metals. A high-speed gas combined with an electric arc generates plasma, which transfers heat to the material until it melts. SIAD has developed, together with leading equipment manufacturers, a range of gases and mixtures optimized for every material and thickness.
Precision
Cut surface quality and cutting stability
Duration
Consumable parts that last up to 3 times longer than with compressed air
Speed
High cutting speeds on greater thicknesses with HYDRAPRO mixtures

For plasma cutting, SIAD offers specific combinations of plasma gas and assist gas for each material and thickness. Each combination is the result of trials conducted directly with equipment manufacturers, to guarantee cutting quality and productivity for every application.
Used as plasma gas in the cutting of carbon steels and alloy structural steels. The exothermic reaction with iron ensures clean cuts, free of dross and burrs, with high speeds and a reduced heat-affected zone.
To be used always in the cutting of carbon steels and alloy structural steels. Thanks to its extremely high degree of purity, it optimizes the exothermic reaction with iron, ensuring superior performance: even cleaner and sharper cuts, absence of dross and burrs, higher process speeds and an even more reduced heat-affected zone, for top-level finishing quality.
To be used in plasma cutting of stainless steels, aluminum and non-ferrous alloys. The high purity ensures clean cuts, free from oxidation and with excellent edge quality, reducing secondary processing. It also ensures process stability and a limited heat-affected zone.
HydraPRO mixtures: used as plasma gas in so-called “high-definition” systems, they make it possible to exploit to the fullest the dissociative and reassociative properties of Hydrogen, significantly improving the qualitative parameters of cutting. The most used are HYDRA PRO H-35 and HYDRA PRO H5N.
